Re-elect Jackie Collier for Town Clerk
I have been a resident for over 50 years, having raised my family here in Wawarsing. My husband, children, and I are all graduates of Ellenville High School. My granddaughter Keira Lee is my pride and joy.
The Town Clerk’s office is the gateway to the community, where, first and foremost, our duty is to ensure that our residents receive the best possible service. The Town Clerk’s office also works closely with the Town Board and the Legislative Aide. I attend all board meetings to take and produce the minutes. Even though I am not a voting power on the Board, I do voice my concerns when I feel there is a need to.
My deputies are Andrea Noval, with 18 years experience, and Abby Beveraggi, with 6 years of experience. Some duties of the office are confidential, such as state, vital records (birth, death and marriage). We are also responsible for licenses, such as hunting, fishing and dog licenses. Residents can also get transfer station permits and punch cards, request FOILS according to Local Laws with NYS. These are just some of the responsibilities of the Town Clerk's Office.
I love the natural beauty of our town and believe in supporting the community. I have been a member of the Ellenville Elks Lodge for 9 years and have previously served on the Board of Ladies of the Elks for 18 years. I also served as a past board member of the Ellenville Little League and Ellenville Blue Devils Booster Club.
I have served as your Town Clerk for 5 years and Deputy Clerk for the 9 years prior. I am asking for your support to re-elect me for another term. As you can see, I've proven that I have the time, energy and skills necessary to do the job.
When a town resident stops by our office, whatever the need, every person is met with respect, courteous service, and a smile. We always do our best for anyone and everyone who walks through our door!
"Treat people with respect, whoever they are, and expect your governments to treat everybody with respect. And if you do that, then you’re going to be okay." — Barack Obama
